About EX-Dividend Traders
We are traders who buy stocks and trade for their dividends. At times there is an advantage to selling a stock at the open on the ex-dividend date.
Most of the buying and selling that can really matter occurs when we trade for penny stock dividends. Since these stocks don’t react like the big stocks (which can be less fun to trade this way) they can really move, we like to follow forward looking statements in these markets where it concerns dividends or forward splits. The traders in these low priced markets are usually novices and sometimes even the company doesn’t understand how dividends and splits work on the ex-dividend date.
